Girls Swimwear & bikinis
- sexy tankinis, swimsuits and fitted cup sizes
Choosing the right swim wear for
the beach this summer is a must!
With many of the styles designed to flatter a C or D cup, finding a style that flatters for the smaller breast
takes a little thought before embarking on a shopping trip.
Tankini
One of the most flattering styles
that’s currently in fashion is the tankini – which comprises a tanktop or vest style top, together with a choice of bikini bottoms –
either as shorts or a traditional bikini style.
Different styles vary as to length – but they all show a little of your midriff or tummy – whilst still allowing you to cover up much of your
body.
This can be a great design for a
young woman if you’re feeling a little embarrassed about your new body shape, but still want to embrace the latest fashions when sunning
yourself on the beach.
The prospect of a long day at the beach makes me panic. There is no harder work I can think of than taking myself
off to somewhere pleasant, where I am forced to stay for hours and “have fun”.

You can also mix and match tankini
tops and bottoms, colour co-ordinating them but matching patterns and colors.
Flattering styles for smaller breasts
The halterneck style is also
flattering to the smaller breasted woman – and there are plenty of colourful designs in the stores (both on the high street and online) this
summer.
The triangle-style bikini can help
lift and add shape to smaller breasts, so look for these simple and popular designs when you’re out shopping.
“I had little to be proud of in the boobs department, but my first padded pink bikini meant that I could
proudly strut my stuff on the beach”
If you need a little support or boosting, it’s possible to buy swimwear and
bikinis in fitted cup sizes or in padded styles to boost your size – although you’ll probably end up spending rather more for
these.
You can probably find the padded brastyles in most AA, A and B cup bikinis – again, you might need to visit a larger department store or swimwear or lingerie
specialist.
Teen Swimwear tips
Here’s a few suggestions for choosing flattering styles for summer:-
§ Choosing
something with a pattern is probably more flattering than a single colour – although styles with details such as lace or ties can be very
attractive
§ decide whether
you’ll wear it for sunbathing or swimming – some swim suit styles are not designed for water (yes, really!)
§ choose a
matching coverup – whether it’s a wrap or a sarong – so that you can cover up walking back from the beach or if it gets a little
cool
§ if your top is a
different size from your bottom, buying bikini separates in a department store can be a very effective way to find sizes to fit you
§ high cut legs
can be more feminine and make your legs look longer and more sexy
§ stripes – unless
you’re tall and thin, avoid these unless they are vertical and actually help to make you look slimmer
§ there are some
cool 70’s floral patterns and retro prints in the stores this year – choose something in a color that flatters your skin and hair
tone
If you’re not sure what suits you, take a friend along to the department store, try on different styles to see what styles, patterns & colors
look best on you.

Need A Full Figure Swimsuit ?
If you find that you need more support - it's possible to get swimwear in larger sizes, including D, E and F cup sizes.

Men may remember the TV program “Baywatch” for it’s image of big-busted women
running along the beach, but you can bet that they had adequate support to enhance their shape and give some control.

Make sure that you choose a style that offer adequate support – a halterneck or
thin-strapped bikini is unlikely to flatter.
However, a fitted bikini with built-in support can look sexy and attractive as
you lie by the beach – just a small amount of underwiring can make a huge difference!
Don’t make the mistake of choosing a swimsuit with no in-built support
Tips for swimsuit styles
For one piece swimsuits (or maillot which is the fashion designer’s term for the traditional
one-piece swim suit) avoid bigger patterns for larger women – small prints or plainer colours with a
coloured trim can often look better.
Darker colours tend to be more slimming and shape enhancing. Adding a sarong can look elegant and very feminine.
